Entry fees for 2011 are as follows £5.00 per class plus £1.00 per competitor for first aid contribution, all entries will be taken on the day only ! no pre entries will be taken.

The organisers of this event have taken every reasonsible precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. Please take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and obey the instructions of the organisers / stewards and officals. The Show Committee do not accept and liability for any accident or loss of horse, property or person. All attend and compete at their own risk.

Clear Round Show jumping. Pay at ring side, £2 per entry with rosette, £1 with out rosette.

Definition of a Dartmoor Hill Pony

TEST (10 points for each Section.)

1

Lead out from line and stand square at X, between poles for judges inspection.

TURN through 180' on the FOREHAND  within the poles.

REVERSE through the uprights.

LEAD over COLOURED pole AT THE TROT.

LEAD on a LOOSE rein in and out of the OBSTACLES at the walk, pony following handler.

TURN at the end, and trot back to the judge, LEADINGFROM THE OFF-SIDE.

LEAD ONTO CARPET, and stand for the count of THREE.

PONIES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM SIMPLE MOVEMENTS IN HAND, TEST ABOVE MAIXIMUM MARKS 100, ONLY 10 MARKS AWARED FOR CONFORMATION, EMPHASIS ON CALMNESS AND OBEDIENCE. SHOW RING LOOKS NOT REQUIRED.

TWO SPECIAL ROSETTES FOR THE TOP TWO DARTMOOR HILL PONIES IN THIS CLASS, WHO WILL QUALIFY FOR THE DARTMOOR HILL PONY IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP, TO BE HELD AT THE DEVON COUNTY SHOW 2012.

Defination Of A Dartmoor Hill Pony

A pony bred on the commons of Dartmoor by a registered commoner, and whose sire and dam run/ran on the said commons.  This ensured that the sire has been approved and branded by the commoners as a suitable stallion to run on the commons.
